After the breakfast preparations, the lady should receive some flowers at the office, preferably roses. We can help with the flowers and are also happy to deliver.
As for a man, it’s probably best to give him either something that he really likes – such as Cuban cigars (so he can really show off with them at the office), a fine wine or perhaps even a good cognac – or an invitation for the evening programme, without letting on what it’s about. (more…)

It’s the same date every year, just like Christmas. Yet, also like Christmas, this day on the calendar, the 14th of February, always seems to take people by surprise. Just who is this Valentine actually?
Wednesday, February 9th, 2011Valentine’s Day is thought to have originated as a Roman festival called Lupercalia, a day on which young men drew lots inscribed with girl’s names from where they lived. Each drew only one name, of course, since the men were then apparently able to enjoy themselves with the young ladies pretty much unbridled. Consequently, the same thing happened that would have happened had it been today: the pope took umbrage at such goings on. So the church had the day consecrated to St. Valentine, who was not only the patron saint of beekeepers (which is a bit ironic since bees reproduce in large numbers quite quickly) and of lovers, but was also the founder of good marriages. We can't say having flowers and plants is actually going to kill our pets, some of them might give them some digestive problems but usually if they are well educated we will not have that problem. In most of the cases our pets are smarter than humans and will avoid eating those kind of plants.
