Mom’s Favorite Flowers
Tuesday, April 24th, 2012We wanted to take a moment to chat about one of the most common questions our fans ask on Mother’s Day (or on any holiday, really): What are the right flowers to get?
There are some common flower types that are given on Mother’s Day, like carnations, roses, sunflowers, and gerbera daisies, but none of these are mandatory. The truth is, Mom’s favorite flower is the one that comes from you.
It sounds corny, but it’s true!
Mom cultivated you with love from seed, to sprout, to the flowering bloom you are today. Almost any gift that comes from you is sure to put a smile on her face. And, if you can’t make it home for a visit, flowers are a wonderful reminder of the special relationship you share.
If your mother has a favorite flower type, it’s great to send that, but don’t get too hung up on getting the “correct” one. Find an arrangement, or even a single flower (like a graceful and complex orchid), that speaks to you and says something about your feelings for your mom. If that sounds a little too poetic for your taste, just get a bouquet that looks nice.
There’s no wrong answer with flowers.
If Mother’s Day in your country falls on a Sunday, as it does in the US (5/13), be sure to place your order well in advance of the date. Florists get pretty busy around the holiday, and it’s best to give plenty of notice so that your delivery can be locked in for that date. If you can’t schedule it for that day, however, don’t worry about it. Flowers don’t have to arrive on the exact date of a holiday. A day before is totally fine.
If you have any questions at all, feel free to send a quick note to info@floraqueen.com. We’re always happy to answer questions or share recommendations. You can also find us on our Facebook page.
So, to all the children and their glorious Mammas: Happy Mother’s Day!

We can't say having flowers and plants is actually going to kill our pets, some of them might give them some digestive problems but usually if they are well educated we will not have that problem. In most of the cases our pets are smarter than humans and will avoid eating those kind of plants.
NOEMIFlowers and plants are NOT our pet’s best friends!I agree that flowers and pets are not best friend. We should keep our pet and plants out of reach by each others to avoid from any damages.
