Flower delivery to Uppsala
Uppsala is Sweden's fourth-largest city and is within easy reach of the capital, Stockholm. Originally the site of a temple to Scandinavian Gods, Uppsala became an archdiocese in the 12th century.
The city is divided by the Fyris river, with the oldest part to the west offering the visitor many attractions, among which is the cathedral, the Domkyrka, the largest church in Scandinavia and, at nearly 400 feet, also the tallest.
World-famous botanist Carl Linnaeus was born here, and in his honour the city has a number of pretty parks and gardens; although relaxing at any time of year, they come into their own in spring as newly blooming flowers make a colourful carpet, and you may get some ideas if you want to make the gift of a flower delivery to Uppsala. The imposing university buildings are also well worth a visit, housing the 40,000-large collection of coins and medals.
The city is a food-lover's paradise with traditional Swedish cuisine mixing with more international dishes. A lot of the food is locally-produced and organic, and the range goes from finger-foods to three-course dinners. The numerous pavement cafés are the perfect place to sit for a while in summer and watch the world by.
