Top 5 activities for you and your mom on Mother’s Day

With Mother‘s Day just around the corner, you might be starting to make your plans for the big day on Sunday May 8th. Obviously, the best choice of gift is flowers, so don’t forget to check out our wide range of Mother’s Day flowers, but don’t stop there! Make sure that the day is perfect by taking your mom out or doing a special activity. We’ve got some suggestions for if you are stumped, which you can check out here.

Afternoon tea

There is nothing better on a Sunday afternoon than the English tradition of afternoon tea! It has long been a tradition in the UK to enjoy this treat, which is sure to leave you feeling stuffed by Sunday evening! It usually consists in traditional English tea or champagne to drink, depending on how lavishly you wish to treat your mom, a selection of sandwiches with different fillings, and some cakes and pastries. If you want to go for a really traditional English theme, then you can add some scones with cream and jelly!

Travel

With technology as it is today, travel has never been easier. You could splash out, and go on a trip to Europe with your mom, taking her to see the sights of the Colosseum in Rome, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona or the many sights of London. If your budget is a bit more limited, head to your nearest city or a different town to where you usually go, and enjoy the sights like a tourist. After all, it’s easy to forget to be a tourist in your own home!

Spa day

After spending almost all of your life looking after you, caring about you, worrying about you, it’s quite likely that she needs a break to relax a bit. There’s no better way to do it than a spa day together. You can have a nice massage, head to the sauna and see out the day in the hot tub to make sure that your mom will be feeling completely laid back and chilled out to the max.

Makeover

The ultimate girls day for you and your mum! Start off with some moisturizer, maybe some concealer, then add bronzer and blusher. Now the base is done, you can add some lipstick, eyeliner and mascara. Add some final touches to your hair, put on a nice outfit, and you and your mom will both look great and be ready to go out somewhere really smart!

Extreme sports

Not all moms want relaxation and tranquility on Mother’s Day, so if your mom falls into that category, why not take part in some extreme sports? Sky diving is always a popular option, particularly as you can even do the jump together! You could also go white water rafting, mountain climbing, or maybe something a bit less physical challenging, such as a trek or long walk with the family.

Make your mom’s celebration the best there is, it’s the least she deserves.
