Summer is coming… Brighten it up with colourful flowers!

Summer is already rearing its head and we couldn’t be happier at FloraQueen. The season of brightness and vivid colours, we spend these months outdoors basking in the sun and the fine weather, in the best of company.

A splash of yellow

Once the grey winter months and the unsettled spring weather have passed, your house cries out for a bit of colour. When you think of summer, I bet sunflowers spring to mind, the quintessential summer flowers. Why don’t you give them the prominence they deserve? Get a pretty bouquet of sunflowers and use it as a centrepiece. Sitting around the table after summer meals will be sunnier than ever!

Say goodbye to mosquitoes

Admittedly, not everything that summer brings is good… with summer comes those dreaded mosquitoes. A natural remedy to keep them from pestering us is to have a citronella plant nearby, the best insect repellent! But do bear in mind that citronella needs abundant sun and does not tolerate overwatering.

Flowers in fashion

You’ve no doubt done the change of wardrobe, putting blouses, shirts, shorts, swimming costumes or bikinis at the front, all in bright colours. Whether male or female, your summer wardrobe won’t be complete without one or more garments with floral prints, which are all the rage this summer. Are you ready for the upcoming season?
